Cousin Retreat

For the first weekend in May, Pierre and I enjoyed a cabin get together with some of the older Utah cousins.  We stayed at the cabin for Friday and Saturday night.  Saturday was the main event, as everyone came up for a big BBQ.  It all came together well and we all enjoyed eachother's company. It was a little cold up there, which was a bummer since we had to stay inside. But we did get to have a fire going the whole day, since it was cold.  We had a wonderful weekend, spending quality time with our cousins and having a small break from our Provo life.  I am so happy Gma and Gpa built a wonderful cabin that we can go to!  And I love the close relationships I have with my cousins, and that we are all great friends.
Here are some pics from our relaxing weekend:

Matt, Jordan and Pierre are outside working on the hamburgers and hotdogs.

Bradley & Mindy made a marvelous fruit salad.

We played an intense game of Bonanza.

(don't you love the fire going on in May?)

My handsome husband being manly as he collects some firewood.

Pierre may look a little weird, due to the cold weather outside.

Christine and Brad did some singing, and we all sat around talking and listening.

I love this guy :)

Shopping Spree!

Have you been to the new City Creek Mall in Salt Lake City?!  Well if you haven't, it is fabulous.  Pierre made me go through my clothes and shoes the other week, so I ended up getting rid of a couple huge bags of clothes.  Since my wardrobe was reduced by a lot, and we both needed some new summer clothes, we took an entire Saturday to check out the new City Creek mall.  It was pretty fancy, and we loved walking around the nice area.  We did our shopping at H & M and Forever 21, which are two stores we both love.

I am lucky, because my husband loves shopping.  He is my favorite shopping buddy ever. Therefore, we spent about 5 hours shopping.  We haven't bought clothes for awhile, so it felt SO good!  We ate lunch there, and enjoyed having a large variety to choose from at the food court. We decided to be risky and try a restaurant we had never heard of, so we ended up eating Greek food.  It was delish!  We might have gone over our shopping budget a little by the end of the day, but we sure were a happy couple bringing our new summer clothes home.  It was a perfect day with my husband.

YUMMY PORK!
