For the One Year Anniversary, the tradition is to eat the top of the wedding cake that has been sitting in the freezer since the wedding night. Like tradition, we have had the top of our wedding cake in our freezer since October 8th. However, we did not wait an entire year before bringing it out.
Two weeks ago, Pierre and I were craving chocolate. So instead of buying or making a dessert, we decided to bring out our wedding cake about 4 1/2 months early. It still tasted great and we thoroughly enjoyed breaking the tradition. It definitely brought back some fun wedding day memories too. Happy Not Quite 1 Year Wedding Anniversary to us!
